黄砂村是十三五贫困村，也是一个有着丰富红色文化资源的全红村。1928年9月，古柏在黄砂组建赣南工农红军第二十一纵队，当中走出了开国中将邝任农和开国少将曾征。1929年1月，毛泽东、朱德率领红四军进入寻乌，古柏在黄砂迎接并报告了工作。革命战争时期，黄砂先后爆发了3次较大规模的战斗，尤其是1935年陈济棠部第八师围攻黄砂，李大添等81名黄砂籍革命烈士先后壮烈牺牲。</font></span></p><p><span
